AMY FLYNN

Managerial economics, information technology, and technical writing are the perfect combination of studies for me.

A well-timed economics class in my first year of college opened my eyes to exactly what I wanted to study: just about everything! I learned that economics wasn’t just money and banking, but rather the study of how decisions are made, how individuals and institutions operate, and why the world is the way it is. Along the way, I found a passion for technology and writing that led to my information technology minor and Professional Writing and Technical Communication certification. Take a look at my Portfolio to see what kind of work I can do and my Resume to see more about the experiences I've had!

I love learning about how technology can innovate business and working with different software, particularly in conjunction with my study of economics. Most importantly, I’ve realized that communication about these things I'm so passionate about, like technology, business, and software, is a truly necessary skill in our rapidly changing world.

I see myself as a big-picture thinker with an attention to detail that helps create thorough, cohesive outputs.

It is important to me to be a part of the development of technology in business as the industry grows and changes so quickly. Ideally, I’d like to combine my technical knowledge, whether that be technical writing or working with software hands-on, with my understanding of applied economics and industrial organization. No matter what industry I end up in, I’m eager to put those skills to use.
